Coca Cola asking for handouts from government on the one hand.. ...in the form of tariffs that will cost Aussie consumers, while on the other hand they don't even feel they need to return the call of the government's Small Business Commissioner.
I'm biased, but Coca Cola are not very nice citizens.

Today's Telegraph Exposes Coca Cola Tactics Jerry made a special appearance. NSW Parliament: Small Business Commissioner Reveals Coca Cola Tactics If you like the West Wing, Law & Order or The Good Wife, the action starts from p26 and ends with the Small Business Commissioner labeling Coca Cola uncommonly uncooperative.
Last Monday, 29th of July, was a big day for Honest Tea as we advertised on the front page of the Australian newspaper and reached about 500,000 readers all over Australia. The Australian is the only national newspaper here and in the past most of our press and print advertising has been local so it was nice to take the leap to the big time. We were delighted with the response to our fledgling new tea club and the idea of subscription teas. To all the people who wrote to ask questions and get involved, thank you! Yours for great tea. Annie PS - here's the ad! Thanks Robin for the great design work. Honest Tea was official tea blender at the Johnnie Walker Platinum Label launch last night. In the penthouse of the uber-stylish Diamante hotel in King's Cross, Sydney, Christine and I took VIP guests through the art of tea blending, paying particular attention to the lovely parallels between peaty scotch malts and the smokiness of our Lapsang Souchong. We also introduced a lot of green tea drinkers to the delights of Darjeeling. Johnnie Walker was the first brand to blend different whiskies to give drinkers a better experience. Platinum is super-premium (the range goes like this: Red, Black, Green, Gold, Platinum, Blue). Over at Urban Society we're even described here as the bomb: "SMELL was explored as guests learned JW whisky-making skills from 1820 under the guidance of bespoke tea blenders. Turns out tea blenders are the bomb" Did you hear that, everybody - we're the BOMB! I can honestly say I never thought I'd read that.... Hey - you can juuust see us in the background here - thanks to Chic Traveller for the pic. Can you see the cocktail shakers? We let guests describe their preferences and then shook up a tea blend just for them. Sven and his team at Behind Bars did an incredible job, as always. When more pics arrive I'll post them for you to see. |
